PTA Update
BackThank you so much to all the many parents and carers who have already signed up to help us on the day with your year’s game for the Summer Fayre on the 16th July and to all the teachers who have so kindly volunteered for the other games too.
We still have a few spots to fill with other exciting jobs on the day, so please contact us or your class rep if you would like to get involved – we would love to have you as part of the team and its looking like it will be a busy, fun day out for the whole family.
We have a PTA meeting on Thursday 7th July from 7pm in the school hall, but please feel free to join anytime you can.
We will be discussing the fayre so it may be useful for volunteers, but not essential and also how the school would like to see the funds from £22for22 allocated, so it is a really good chance to have your say. And this Tuesday will be our last Twos-Day of the school year! Our Twos-Day grand total is sitting at an incredible £492.32 so it would be amazing if we could break the magic £500 with our last week.
All the children from Year 1 upwards have been learning some songs to open the fayre with, I know they have been practising hard and it sounds like it will be a wonderful performance.
Also entertaining us on the 16th will be the School Band and the Parent Orchestra and the conductor Jon Gore has asked us to scope out any hidden talent to join in on the day. He is looking for any musicians, but in particular the Parent Orchestra is short of brass players and cellos and the School Band is missing brass/strings players (any instrument).
If you think you can help and you are free to play on the day, then please email combedownpta@gmail.com.
Thank you again Combe Down.
