What an amazing week this has been! So many talented children have really excelled and represented our school community so well.

On Tuesday evening James from Year 5 attended a presentation evening at Broadoak Academy following his nomination for fund raising during the great Bath Sleep Out initiative in March. The core value he was representing was “Supporting and caring for others in need.” Although James was not selected as overall winner for the category, he received a certificate and Anne Frank book. Well done James for being recognised for upholding our Combe Down values of compassion, love and respect.

Year 6 Play - 'Oliver'

Our Year 6 children were truly astonishing, astounding, remarkable, outstanding, wonderful, incredible to use some of the words from Toby and Ben who gave the thanks at the end. Each and every individual shone so brightly…there are some performers in the making. What voices, timing, choreography and talent.

Thank you to the team behind the scenes each night and to the staff who support the preparations. We want to thank Mrs O’Neill, Miss Ayres, Mr Bibby and Mrs Hawkins especially.

A huge thank you to the parent group who served refreshments during the evening. An even bigger shout out to Mrs Ryman who washed all the glasses – by hand - each night!

It is moments like these that children store away in their memories – I am so glad we were able to enjoy it with them all.
