Jubilee Celebrations, Monday 6th June 2022

We are excited to announce that on Monday, 6^th June, the children and staff will be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee! It's fair to say that the children are extremely excited to be spending the whole day celebrating this historic event!

Just a few things:

• The children (and staff!) will be allowed to come into school dressed in either red, white or blue or as a queen/king/prince/princess!
• There will be a whole school picnic at lunchtime - weather permitting. The children's packed lunch may include party food. (No nuts, please.) There will be no hot dinners on this day. For those children who have a school dinner on a Monday, or those from Key Stage 1 entitled to a free school dinner, please complete the form at the following link to select your packed lunch choice: Lunch Choice Form - Monday 6th June only
• There will be a whole school cake sale after school! We would greatly appreciate any Jubilee/royal themed cakes or biscuits!
• We are planning a whole school photo outside the Log Cabin. Each family will receive a copy of the photo as a treasured keepsake!
• Between 3.15pm and 4pm, the PTA will be providing tea, coffee, squash and biscuits. Families are free to stay on the school site to soak up the atmosphere. There will be music playing and a chance to catch up with each other!
• As a treat, the PTA will be providing an ice pop to all the children. Thank you, PTA!
• Following on from the Bank Holiday celebrations, we would really appreciate any spare bunting or balloons - please let me know if you are able to help with this! The aim is to decorate the school, so that the atmosphere is electric for the children!

The children are going to enjoy spending the day taking part in arts and crafts activities! It promises to be a fabulous day!
