Year 2 Trip to Folly Farm
On Tuesday 21st May, Year 2 will be visiting Folly Farm - Avon Wildlife Trust’s nature reserve in the Chew Valley. We will be taking part in a ‘Miniature World’ activity day led by their staff and will explore the woodland, hunt for minibeasts and try to remain dry whilst having a go at pond dipping.
These experiences will deepen our understanding of habitats and will also be a chance to relax and enjoy some outdoor learning after a very busy few weeks.
- Please be in school for 8.30am as we will be walking to Monkton Combe School’s coach bay to leave at 9.00am prompt.
- We will return to school by 3.00pm, so collection will be from school at the usual time.
- Children will need to be wearing full school uniform, and will need a packed lunch and water to drink – this can be carried in a backpack, along with a lightweight coat.
- We also require three additional adults from each class to join us on the trip. Please let class teachers know if you are able to help us.
In order for the trip to run, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £12.30 per child. The cost is based on all children in the year group going on the trip. If there are not enough contributions to make the trip viable then it may be necessary to cancel.
Please complete the CONSENT & PAYMENT (& lunch option if appropriate) ONLINE using ParentMail+Pay by 7th May 2019.
As always, please speak to us should you require further information.
