All about Clubs at Combe Down

At Combe Down School we want to give everyone the opportunity to join a club - so we've provided lots to choose from!

Most clubs get filled up very quickly each September and with a wide variety from Choir to Netball and Chess to Poetry, it's not surprising! We aim to cater for everyone's likes and enjoyment, but if there is a club that you would like to see happening in the school and it isn't already being run why don't you suggest it to one of the teachers?

Please note that paid clubs are organised by outside providers. The school helps facilitate these clubs and provides facilities, however, organisers are responsible for all paperwork, collation of data and advising parents/carers about the dates of sessions.  Not all clubs run each week: please keep the letter from the club provider detailing the dates the club runs, and ensure you collect your child from school at 3.15pm if their club is not on.

Breakfast / After School Club

We do not run our own breakfast / after-school club, but we are affiliated with SuperPirates

SuperPirates run a breakfast club in our school hall Tuesday to Friday mornings, and an after-school club Monday to Friday afternoons at the local Scout Hut in Combe Down.  Please contact SuperPirates directly regarding any queries or if you wish to make a booking.

Holiday Clubs

Below are some clubs running in the school holidays.  Please contact the providers of these clubs directly.  Links to third party information should not be taken as an endorsement of any kind.

  • Spotter Hockey October Half Term
The Spotters Hockey October Half Term 2019 Camp runs on 28th and 29th October at Beechen Cliff school, Bath from 9am - 2pm. The cost of places offers excellent value with 2 days costing just £45 if booked before 28 September.

The camp provides both skill based, technical aspects and game play coaching for all players aged 7-15 years old, with a high performance camp running at no extra cost for those aged 13 +. The High Performance Camp is particularly suited for those on the England Hockey Player Pathway.

New for this half term are the addition of 1-1 coaching and small group coaching running from 2-5pm - these sessions are suitable for those aged 7-17, cost £22.50 per session booked and places can be secured through this link:
