 Impact

The Bath Coaching Hub is run for Bath Primary Schools and gives children the opportunity to participate in rugby, cricket and street dance at the world famous Recreation Ground, Bath Cricket Club and Bath Sports Centre. This culminates in a performance for parents in the last week. The feedback from children and adults alike has been that it is first class with the emphasis on participation, teamwork and respect. We are looking to continue to be involved in this exciting project.

Up and Under Coaching have been coming to school on a weekly basis to provide input on skill development and games, leading sessions and [providing teaching templates for staff to develop further. This has been excellent and staff have seen a rise in skill level in the children. Again, emphasis is placed on teamwork and respect as well as personal development.

INSET Day was very good, giving staff the framework for a new PE curriculum and the scheme of work is now in place which links closely to our core values as well as ensuring that all areas are covered thoroughly.

Participation

As well as the above provision and in class PE/Games the children have participated in the following sporting activities:

Dance Umbrella (Dance Club), Gymnastics Competitions (Y3-6), Football league and cup (Y5&6), Y4 football Cup (winners!), Fidelius Hockey Tournament at Bath University, Y2-6 House Sports Day, YR & Y1 Sports Day, Bath Schools Swimming Fiesta, Y5&6 House Swimming Gala, Year 3 & 4 Swimming lessons at Monkton Pool, friendly football matches against KES Junior, Y4 sports afternoon at Stonar School, Y4 & Y6 Residential visits (the latter including a wide range of adventure activities), netball matches against the Royal High School and Sports Festivals at Ralph Allen School for Years 1-6

There has been additional coaching from RHS in netball and hockey, from Michelle Rochester (Dance Coach), rugby from Bath Rugby Foundation.

Children have also had the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular clubs in football, hockey, netball, gym, dance, running, multi-skills and judo.
