Parent Governor Election, February 2018
As Returning Officer I am writing to inform you that there will be an election for the post of Parent Governor. An election must take place because there are more nominations than vacancies.
Accompanying this letter are statements from the nominated candidates. A numbered ballot paper and envelope for return of the ballot paper(s) will be in your child’s book bag. Each parent/carer is entitled to one vote in this election.
The ballot will run for 8 school days starting at 8:30am on Thursday 8th February 2018, ending at 12.00 noon on Monday 26th February 2016. The ballot box will be located in the school office. Please return your voting slip either directly to the school office or in your child’s book bag and we will place it in the ballot box on your behalf. Alternatively you can return your voting slip by post (please affix a stamp), addressed to the Returning Officer to be placed in the ballot box on your behalf.
The formal process of counting the ballot papers will take place at 12.15 pm on Monday 26th February 2018 with the assistance of and witnessed by current Governors and senior staff. Candidates for nomination are also welcome to attend as witnesses. Once the ballot papers have been counted I will inform you of the result of the election.
