Mobile Phone Policy

Mobile Phone Policy and Walking Home from School

I want to clarify our policy on phones and walking home from school.

Once children begin Year 5 we are happy for parents to allow them to walk home on their own. Whilst Year 4s do not have to be collected from the classroom we do expect them to be taken home by an adult.  The ONLY children who are allowed to bring mobile phones in school, if they have one, are Year 5 & 6 and these are NOT to be used in school. We understand that mobile phones can be useful if there are problems on the way home.

If mobile phones must be brought to school they must be put in the box in the classroom at the beginning of the day and can be collected at the end of the day. They should not be used on school premises; any misuse on the premises i.e. inside the school gates, may result in phones not being allowed in school at all.

Thank you for your co-operation and support.
