Minerva's Owls of Bath 2018
An outstanding achievement this week has been the completion of our Owl, part of this summer’s Minerva’s Owls of Bath sculpture trail, which was donated to the school by Curo just before the May holiday.
We are indebted to Mrs Inwood, who worked with groups of children from all year groups, to cover the Owl - known as Patch - with colourful hand-decorated hexagons. The idea was inspired by Harry Patch “The last fighting Tommy”, who was born in Combe Down and attended our school.
It seemed fitting to use the owl to celebrate our connections. Patch looks amazing! Well done Mrs Inwood and the children. Patch will nest at the Co-op in Combe Down and will be part of the trail.
