Hello from Mrs Gascoigne
Happy New Year to you all. I trust you had a chance to rest and relax a little amid the business of Christmas and New Year celebrations!
Thank you to all for the warm welcome to Combe Down Primary School. I have been dropping in on classes this week and chatting with children to try to memorise a few more names each day! It has been lovely to speak with many of you at drop off and collection times.
Please bear with me as I endeavour to commit the connections between parents and children to memory. If you see me on the playground, do introduce yourself to me. I am looking forward to getting to know you all in the coming weeks and months.
This week we have been thinking in Collective Worship about “Good to be me” and how unique and special we all are; even though there may be many similarities there is no one just like you or me.
Thank you to all who have managed to be on time after the Christmas break … I know routines are well out of kilter following a holiday. Thank you too for ensuring your children are properly dressed for school in the appropriate uniform, hair tied back with school colours, appropriate footwear and suitable outdoor clothing. It has been extremely windy! Can I remind you that all items of clothing should be named in case they are misplaced. Thank you for your support.
